This volume contains a detailed exposition of the scripture and an easy-to-read commentary on Genesis. Each passage is reviewed in its context and with its historical perspective, and the finished work of Christ is revealed. The work of the Holy Spirit is seen as never before as the scriptures come alive for believers and their walk today.
“‘That which is born of the flesh is (not merely fleshly, but) flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is (not merely spiritual, but) Spirit’ (Jn. 3:6).” (Page 81)
“Cain’s sacrifice stated that he wasn’t a sinner, and, thereby, didn’t need a Redeemer.” (Page 546)
“The phrase, ‘Then began men to call upon the Name of the Lord,’ is probably said in derision. The sons of Cain, it seems, began to fasten upon the others, that is, the sons of Seth—but in contempt and hatred—the name of Jehovah.” (Page 105)
“Egypt was not the place of God’s Presence. There was no Altar in Egypt, no communion. And the moment we trade the Altar for other things, we have just lost our way, and the end results will never be good.” (Page 234)
“It makes three affirmations: that there is but One God, that the Father, the Son, and the Spirit is each God, and that the Father, the Son, and the Spirit is each a distinct Person.” (Page 1)
