Overview

A person does not need to read very far through the Bible before wondering what a shekel is, how long is a cubit, or what an omer is. These terms and many others, such ephahs, drachmas, and spans, are all foreign to the contemporary reader, but they are all terms for measurement of weight, length, volume, area, and monetary value. Oftentimes, one might find in the back of their print bible a chart that presents basic information about how these units can be converted to their modern equivalents, but Weights and Measures in the Bible goes one step further by making it possible to search across the entire biblical text to find similar measurements and also quickly convert them with simplicity and ease.

Weights and Measures in the Bible can be used in a search window to find all the places where cubits are used in the Bible or in the right-click Context Menu when you encounter a unit of measurement while reading the biblical text, which will then allow you to quickly open a new search window for the type of measurement referenced in the passage. Weights and Measures in the Bible brings uses the Bible Knowledge portions of the Factbook in conjunction with the Weights and Measurements Interactive, proving a new way to interact with the historical context of Scripture.
