David Guzik has been the pastor of Calvary Chapel, Santa Barbara since 2010. After completing his undergraduate education at the University of California, Santa Barbara, Guzik entered pastoral ministry. He has served in this role since 1982. For 14 years, he was founding and senior pastor of Calvary Chapel of Simi Valley. In 2003, he became the director of Calvary Chapel Bible College Germany. He has written several books including Near and True, Free and Clear, and Standing in Grace.

This is a great study commentary. I use it every day along with Pastor Guzik's video lectures on the screen. I'm just finishing Acts and this has been my best experience studying the Bible. I could have used the free version on his website but the linked feature (and ability to save, search) in Logos has made a huge difference for my study. Guzik is so good. He points things out that I completely miss. He has a Spiritual Insight that I need. Always to the point without a lot of words I have to look up. I used his commentary on a free source but it didn't have the Logos touch where the commentary stays with your Bible Study plus with the Logos Library every word is connected to every word across your whole Library. Saved much time when searching. Point and click, copy and paste. Bible Study has never been better.
