Overview
Originating in modern day Iraq and developing from pictographs, cuneiform is one of the earliest known systems of writing. Published annually since 1947 by the Baghdad School of the American Schools of Oriental Research (ASOR), the Journal of Cuneiform Studies presents technical and general articles on the history and language of the ancient Mesopotamian and Anatolian literate culture.
